When we book accommodation, we always value genuine testimonials, and we understand how frustrating fake reviews can be. We’re new owners here in Koala Cabins and Home stay - 136 Flaxton Drive Mapleton and have taken on the task of revitalizing this once run-down property.
We wanted you to have an honest review and we will get reviews and post them as we get into the new management of the site. Thank you for your patience and I hope you appreciate I am writing this just to you so you know when booking what it is like.
We’ve invested and continue to upgrade the rooms, and while we’re currently 3 stars aiming for 4, we believe you’ll find them quite nice. While we may not be 5-star, there are plenty of those amazing Air B@B's and Hotels on the mountain.
The attitude of our team members is one of warmth and friendliness, a trait shared by the wonderful people in Montville, Maleny, and Mapleton. Our cabins, houses, and apartments are clean, comfortable, and peaceful—especially after 5 PM, when everything quiets down. We value your privacy and won’t intrude unless needed.
While we don’t have a tipping system, in the future, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute by purchasing and planting a gum tree to help us improve the habitat for koalas.
We’re fortunate to be close to some great dining spots in Montville, Mapleton, Nambour, and Maleny or you could bring your own supplies and cook your own romantique meals. There is an IGA 2 minutes drive away. It is a great story and very close.
At Koala Cabins we strive to provide a safe and private environment for our guests. We take cleanliness seriously, with daily attention to detail in our bathrooms and the use of Glen 20 on all surfaces—yes, we might be a bit OCD about it! Week days you get some amazing prices- Come up during the week and save. While we may not be 5-star, there are plenty of those on the mountain. We’re more about offering a cozy, affordable, and pet-friendly experience where you can relax without worrying about breaking the bank. Come stay with us, save a little, and spend more on what really matters—whether that’s treating yourself or your kids. We love it here in Mapleton, and we think you will too. Perhaps get up early , take a walk, enjoy the cafés—we’ve got the venue, you bring the family, your plus one Better half , and of course bring the love , kindness and grace.
